The things we do

We work to create a new vision for how the web should work and look. Together, we design and build mobile responsive web applications websites  and intranets.

OUR APPROACH IS STRAIGHT FORWARD:

We provide an end-to-end service package… discovery, design, development and maintenance for all the sites and apps we create for our clients. Our process begins with thinking about the tasks and goals your users have and what tools they need to accomplish them. We don’t see the web as a passive place to read and consume. We see it as a place that can help transform how we collaborate and communicate.

Discovery

The primary objective of Discovery is to: identify and align varying business objectives, viewpoints and personal aspirations; understand purpose, structure and content.

OUR APPROACH INCLUDES

  • Holding a series of workshops with key project stakeholders.
  • A review the existing site and project material including metrics, technical design constraints and focus-group documentation
  • Conducting research interview/workshops with user groups
  • Undertaking an open card sorting exercise with stakeholders and users
  • Creating a set of personas for use as decision making tools for the duration of the project

Visual & UX Design

The primary objective of Design is to: develop and the information architecture; understand, rationalise and document the number of templates; create and apply the visual style.

OUR APPROACH INCLUDES

  • Creating a site map that includes up to 3 levels of content hierarchy.
  • Developing  look and feel design options based on  requirements and demonstrating how they display on different device types.
  • Creating a high-level template plan that documents the various types of page templates required along with detailed schematic / wireframe designs.
  • Detailed application of  the chosen look and feel to all required templates along with creation of a project style guide.

Front-end development

The primary objective is to: establish technical success metrics; determine requirements; translate the visual design into a series of mobile responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript templates; test against the success metrics.

OUR APPROACH INCLUDES

  • Establish Non-functional Requirements (NFRs) such as target platforms, performance benchmarks, accessibility standards and browser specifications.
  • Establish coding standards for the project including any third-party resources, frameworks or libraries that may be required .
  • Create the HTML/CSS/JavaScript required for each of the approved templates and components (e.g. site header, footer, navigation elements, etc.) developed during the Design Phase.
  • Undertake peer reviewed Pass/Fail testing of the completed HTML/CSS/JS templates and components against the NFRs

Back-end development

8

The primary objective is to: establish the functional behaviours; Set-up and configure the chosen platform; integrate the mobile responsive HTML/CSS/JavaScript templates into the platform and test.

OUR APPROACH INCLUDES

  • Establish Functional Requirements and benchmarks.
  • Establish development server and hosting environments, including code repositories, client access and bug tracking.
  • Set up and configure content types and user permissions.
  • Integrate HTML/CSS/JavaScript templates and components (e.g. site header, footer, navigation elements, etc.)
  • Undertake peer reviewed Pass/Fail testing against the and Functional and Non Functional Requirements.
  • Provide user training on the system.
