Techniques we use
Setting up the project
We recommend that projects start with a thorough onboarding session to define a delivery methodology that works for everyone. We set up a project delivery plan by working with you to determine tasks, resources, and timeline. We facilitate the process of defining clear roles and responsibilities for the project, agreeing membership of the project governance group, and confirming which stakeholders need to be involved. This session is also where we work with you to set the foundations of a productive, cooperative project team.
At the end of the onboarding process, we aim to have consensus on roles and responsibilities, activities, and what needs there are for stakeholder engagement and user research sessions. This allows us to plan and schedule regular stand ups, reviews, and stakeholder engagement sessions. The outputs from these sessions are living documents that we share with you and which then guide the development of the project.
Delivery methodology, processes, and tools
We work with you to determine the best project delivery methodology for your project. We have extensive experience in designing and developing solutions using a range of methodologies.
We use a wide range of web-based design, project management and collaboration tools throughout our design and development process. While we will make recommendations about our preferred tools if you ask, we are always willing and able to adapt our approach to match your preferred toolsets and your management and reporting practices.
We typically set up regular progress reporting on a weekly or fortnightly basis through face-to-face conversations or emails. We also provide you with regular updates on how we are tracking against the budget. We send you project deliverables via secure electronic communications, and provide paper copies when needed.
